Molecular Enzymes

T7 RNA Polymerase

T7 RNA Polymerase is a DNA-dependent RNA polymerase with strict specificity for the T7 promoter sequence. The enzyme catalyses the 5’-3’ synthesis of RNA from a double-stranded DNA template and is commonly used for in vitro transcription (IVT) applications. This enzyme requires Mg²⁺ as a cofactor and produces full-length RNA transcripts, making it an essential tool for RNA synthesis, research, and various biotechnological processes.

Applications

mRNA synthesis for vaccines & therapeutics
In vitro transcription (IVT) reactions
CRISPR guide RNA (gRNA) production
RNA probe & hybridization probe synthesis
Synthetic biology workflows
RNA structure, function & binding studies

Preliminary Data

Comparative Analysis of RNA Synthesis by Fluorobiotech and Competitor Enzymes. (A) RNA Yield: Bar graphs illustrate the RNA yield obtained from in vitro transcription reactions using either the Fluorobiotech enzyme or a competitor enzyme. RNA yield was quantified via a fluorescence microplate assay. (B) RNA Product PAGE Gel: A representative 15% polyacrylamide gel (PAGE) is shown, where 10 µL of each RNA sample was loaded and stained with ethidium bromide (EtBr).
